This notice explains how KnightGrid handles personal information when you visit this website, request access or contact us. It also distinguishes the services we plan to introduce from those used to handle enquiries today.
Who we are
KnightGrid (“we”, “us”) is responsible for the personal information collected through its enquiry form and correspondence. We are at pre-launch stage.
Use this address for questions about your information or to exercise your rights.
What this notice covers
This notice covers the KnightGrid website, requests for early access or evidence, sales enquiries and related correspondence. It does not cover customer use of the future KnightGrid platform, which will have separate terms and data protection information.
The current website does not create demo accounts. If we introduce a separate demo login, we will update this notice to explain its data collection before it is used.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Access requests: your first name, last name, work email address and company name.
- Evidence requests: your first name, last name and work email address. This form does not ask for your company or offer product updates.
- Your choices: your privacy acknowledgement, the notice version and a server-generated submission time. Access requests also record whether you opted into product updates. These details are included in the enquiry email sent to KnightGrid.
- Correspondence: the information you send us by email and our replies.
Information used to deliver the website
Website delivery and security services may process technical information such as your IP address, browser information, requested page and time of request. Externally delivered fonts also require a connection to a font provider.
We do not ask for sensitive personal information. Please do not include health information or other special category data in an enquiry.
How we use it
We use personal information for the following purposes, with the corresponding lawful basis under UK data protection law.

The required checkbox acknowledges this notice and your request for a response. It does not sign you up for marketing. Product updates are a separate, optional choice on the access form only.
We do not sell your personal information or share it for other companies’ marketing. We do not use enquiry data for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you.
Understanding website use
Plausible Analytics
We plan to use Plausible to understand aggregate visits and page usage. It is not currently enabled on this website.
Plausible describes its standard service as cookieless, without cross-site tracking, and hosted in the European Union. It uses IP address and browser information to generate a daily visitor identifier without storing the raw IP address.
We will update this notice when analytics is enabled to reflect the configuration actually used. Read Plausible’s data policy.
International transfers
Some service providers may process information outside the UK, including in the European Union and the United States. Planned hosting with Vercel may involve processing through its global infrastructure; the planned Plausible service is EU-hosted.
Where a restricted transfer occurs, an appropriate legal safeguard is required, such as an applicable adequacy regulation or approved contractual safeguards. The mechanism depends on the provider and service arrangement. Contact us for details relevant to your information.
How long we keep it
We keep information for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected. The criteria below apply; we do not state fixed deletion periods that have not yet been established.

You can ask us to delete your information. Where we need to retain some of it for a lawful reason, we will explain why.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law gives you rights to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate information;
- request erasure or restrict processing;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- withdraw consent to product updates at any time;
- receive your information in a portable format, where applicable.
Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before you withdrew it. To exercise a right or stop updates, email security@knightgrid.com. You do not need to submit the enquiry form again.
We normally respond to rights requests within one month. If an extension is permitted for a complex request, we will explain it within that first month. We may need proportionate information to confirm your identity.
If something isn’t right
Please contact us if you have concerns about how we handle your information. You can also complain directly to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
Keeping this notice current
We will update this notice when our processing changes, including when Vercel or Plausible is introduced. The version and date at the top identify the current notice. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will take appropriate steps to tell you.
